1、Can和Could意思是“能够，会”、“可能”还有请求和允许的意思；
Can you play basketball?你会打篮球吗？
Who can it be?It is so late.会是谁呢？都这么晚了。
Can I ask you question?能问你一个问题吗？
2、May和might可用于请求、允许和推测；
May I have a few words with your manager,please ?我可以和你的经理谈一下吗？
We may go camping this Saturday.本周六我们可能去露营。
3、must 和 have to ：必须，一定；
You must be here by ten o'clock.你一定要在10点前到这里。
You don't have to get up early.你没有必要早起。
4、Shall 和 should，意为“应该”或者表示征求对方意见；
You should be more careful next time.下次你应该更小心；
Xiaochao should be there by now.按理说，小超现在应该到那里了。
5、Will 和 would表示意愿或者“将会”意思；
I will help you if you meet with trouble.如果你有麻烦，我愿意帮你。
You will fail if you don't work hard.不努力注定要失败的。
6、Used to 意识是过去常常，过去是；
Xiaochao is not what he used to be .小超已经不是过去的他了。
7、Had better“你最好......”是一种命令的口气，适用于上级对下级，长辈对晚辈的话语中；
You had better try it again if you fail this time .
如果你这次失败了，你最好再试一次。
8、Need 需要；当need做实义动词的时候，用法是：need to do sth.
You needn't be told twice about one thing.同一件事不必告诉你两遍。
